Jane CHEUNG Yan Yi is a writer and interdisciplinary artist. She serves as a writing instructor at The House of Hong Kong Literature, and is a member of Opacity Poem and Writing As Method collective. She holds a BA degree in Creative and Professional Writing from Hong Kong Baptist University. At the moment, she is pursuing her MFA degree in Transdisciplinary Creative Writing at Taipei National University of the Arts.

Her work examines the tensions and complexities of personal emotions within shifting cultural-political contexts. Through narrative fabrication as a methodological approach, she ruptures lived reality to re-articulate overlooked, forgotten, or habitual moments in daily life.

She was awarded the 50th Youth Literary Awards and won the 11th Intervarsity Creative Writing Competition. Her works have appeared in P-articles, Fleurs des Lettres, and Asia Art Archive's Like A Fever. Selected works are archived in the Hong Kong Literary Landscape Archive, the "我街道,我知道,我書寫" Community Writing Project, and the bilingual anthology Writing in Difficult Times. She is currently developing the Hong Kong Arts Development Council-funded writing project Her Glance Flickers The Sea.

Her MBTI is REST, but she's always restless between Taipei and Hong Kong.
